Joe Rogan hints at Conor McGregors potentially history making fight being confirmed…

It is becoming more and more certain that current featherweight champion Conor McGregor will have a shot at the lightweight title. Eddie Alvarez currently holds the UFC lightweight belt and is due a bout to defend it.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan dropped hints in a podcast that Conor McGregor could be making UFC history. While Dana White had previously said that Conor McGregor would have to defend his featherweight belt in his next fight or drop it, this may not be the case now.

It would be highly beneficial for the UFC to have McGregor make history as he has quite possibly the biggest fan base of any UFC fighter. The PPV revenue and other income from the fight would most likely be through the roof compared a non-history making fight.

UFC 205 is set in New York, it’s the first time the UFC has come to the state. Madison Square gardens if famous for its huge boxing events so UFC 205 should be a spectacular event whoever fights. UFC 205 is scheduled for November 12th.

If the fight goes ahead and Dana White allows The Notorious to keep the featherweight belt for a little longer then McGregor has potential to make UFC 205 a historic night.
