Derek Brunson Makes a Statement with a Victory Over Uriah Hall

Last night at UFC Fight Night 94, Derek Brunson earned a first round TKO win over Uriah Hall. Brunson dropped Hall with a solid left hook before following him to the ground and raining down hard shots from the top. There had been a fair bit of bad blood between the fighters, with Brunson allegedly harassing Hall via text before the fight. These mind games seemed to do the trick as Hall had no answer to Brunson’s power.

This win extends Brunson’s unbeaten run to five, yet it puts Hall on a two-fight losing streak. This match-up will have done wonders for Derek Brunson, who will surely be fighting a high-level fighter in his next bout. However, it looks like it’s back to the drawing board for Uriah Hall as he struggles to find consistency in the UFC.
