Yair Rodriguez opens up on how he felt following his bout with BJ Penn.

Following BJ Penn’s loss to the hands of Yair Rodriguez, the man of the hour had his say on the fight, and wasn’t shy about admitting he was willing to die in order to beat BJ Penn and solidify himself within the UFC. Video Courtesy of MMAWeekly

When asked to give details, Yair admitted he had slight fear for the quick powerful hand BJ could throw, and even gave a little insight into what his coach told him.

“Be careful, he’s a legend, repect him a little”

It Seems Yair had the fight completely planned out and was extra cautious to make no mistakes, knowing full well how easily BJ could have made advantage of such mistakes. Yair, like many, went into the fight and left the fight with high respect for the legend BJ Penn.

“I respect him even more now”
