Urijah Faber: “I see Cody Garbrandt knocking out TJ Dillashaw at UFC 213”

A bold prediction from the California Kid.

The rivalry between two of the best Bantamweight‘s in the world is becoming more heated by the day, leading up to their clash at UFC 213.

Since TJ Dillashaw left Team Alpha Male, a war of words has begun between him and current Bantamweight champion, Cody Garbrandt, with both stars agreeing to host the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter to build up their title fight on July 7.

After successfully dethroning Dominick Cruz back at UFC 207, talk instantly began between both Garbrandt and Dillashaw and unsurprisingly, Urijah Faber has had his say on how he thinks the fight will go.

First reported by, during an episode of the MMA Hour, the California Kid said he likes Garbrandt’s power more than he does Dillashaw’s and he sees Garbrandt landing the bigger shots that will end fight for his former protégé.

“I think it’ll probably be a knockout, just because Cody hits hard.”

He continued and said.

“We’ve seen it in his fights, we’ve seen it in the room. He’s got a history. TJ’s also a heavy hitter, but not like Cody. They’re going to be in a gun fight.”


One of the most anticipated Bantamweight bouts to have ever took part inside the Octagon is closing in and the two superstar rivals will be fighting for more than just the UFC Bantamweight title.
