The UFC announces fights for their Singapore event

The UFC has announced several fights for their second event in Singapore on June 17, where MMA legends, Andrei Arlovski and Takanori Gomi will compete.

Arlovski, 38, will square off against Marcin Tybura of Poland. Arlovski holds a record of 25-14 and is currently ranked at number eight in the UFC’s heavyweight division. He was defeated by Francis Ngannou in his last fight and he is currently on a four-fight losing streak. However, he will hope to end this run when he squares off against Tybura, who holds a record of 15-2. His last outing was a victorious one as he defeated Luis Henrique via TKO at UFC 209.

Japanese MMA icon, Takanori Gomi will square off with Jon Tuck. ‘The Fireball Kid’ holds a record of 35-12 (1) but he is currently on a three-fight losing streak. His last fight was a losing effort against Jim Miller at UFC 200. Jon Tuck of Guam holds a record of 9-4 and he is on a two-fight losing skid. In his last fight, he was defeated via unanimous decision by Damien Brown.

Hawaii’s Russell Doane, who fought on UFC’s first Singapore card, will face off against the South Korean, Kwan Ho Kwak. Doane holds a record of 14-7 and he is on a four-fight losing skid. He was submitted by Mirsad Bektic in his last bout at UFC 204. Kwan Ho Kwak holds a professional record of 9-1. In his UFC debut, he was defeated via unanimous decision by Brett Johns.

Karate specialist, Justin Scoggins will face Japanese fighter, Ulka Sasaki. Scoggins holds a professional record of 11-3, however, in his last outing, he was defeated by Pedro Munhoz via a guillotine choke. Sasaki, 27, holds a record of 19-4-2. He was defeated by Wilson Reis via unanimous decision at UFC 208.

Finally, the UFC has announced a heavyweight contest between Frenchman, Cyril Asker, 31, and American Walt Harris, 30. Asker holds a record of 8-2 and he knocked out Dmitry Smoliakov in his last fight. Harris holds a professional record of 9-5 and he scored a vicious knockout victory over Chase Sherman in his last fight.

The Singapore card is set to take place on June 17 at the Indoor Stadium. The UFC are yet to announce the main event.
