Scottish MMA Fighter Paul “Bearjew” Craig Fighting On UFC 209 Card
The fighter from Coatbridge is looking to extend his 9-0 record.
Newcomer to the UFC Paul “Bearjew” Craig is set to take on his second opponent in the UFC, Tyson Pedro at UFC 209 on Saturday the 4th of March in Las Vegas, Nevada. His first fight went about as well as you could ever wish for in a UFC debut when he defeated Henrique de Silva by armbar in the second round at a time of 1 minute 59 seconds.
Paul Craig currently has a professional record of 9-0 with a BAMMA title under his belt. Fighting out of Coatbridge, Scotland from the Scottish Hit Squad, Craig looks to continue is very impressive undefeated streak when he takes on the 5-0 Australian Tyson Pedro who also obtained a submission win in his first fight for the UFC against Khalil Rountree back in November.
If I was to make a prediction about this fight I’d say it’s going to be heavily focused on ground game due to both fighter having achieved most of their wins via submissions. Both fighters have only ever won one fight via anything other than submission (Craig won by TKO, Pedro by KO). Make no mistake, both of these guys can throw shots but both seem a lot more comfortable on the ground.
The best of luck to both fighters, no matter the outcome, someone’s perfect record is coming to an end. Let’s hope for a good fight.
