Rockhold to return at UFC Pittsburgh.

The date is set for Rockhold’s return.

After a series of Twitter spats with UFC president Dana White. It seems that former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold is returning to the octagon. Rockhold is slated to step up against former WSOF two weight champion David Branch.

Rockhold hasn’t fought since his KO loss to Michael Bisping just over a year ago, where he lost the middleweight belt. Shortly after this he then got into a war of words with Dana White. This came about because he was overlooked for a middleweight title shot and George’s St.Pierre was installed as the next challenger. You can see the series of tweets below.

UFC Pittsburgh announcement.

It was announced that Rockhold‘s return will be on the 16th of September on the UFC Pittsburgh card. Other notable fights also announced include Hector Lombard facing off against Anthony Smith. As well as Uriah Hall stepping up against the man David Branch was victorious against in his second UFC debut, Krzysztof Jotko.

The rest of the cards fights are as follows.

Kamaru Usman Vs. Sergio Moraes.

Gilbert Burns Vs. Jason Saggo.

Anthony Hamilton Vs. Daniel Spitz.

Justin Ledet Vs. Dmitrii Smoliakov.
