Official: Frankie Edgar vs Yair Rodriguez at UFC 211

The UFC 211 card just got even better – we will be seeing a modern day legend pitted up against one of the hottest young prospects in the game today! Frankie Edgar (21-5-1) is fresh off of his decision win over Jeremy Stephens at UFC 205. With six victories in his last seven fights, his only loss was to Jose Aldo for the interim featherweight title at UFC 200. Edgar is a future hall of famer and one of the most beloved fighters in the modern sport.

His opponent, Yair Rodriguez, is a young prospect with world beating talent. Currently boasting a 10-1 record with not a single loss in his opening 6 UFC bouts. Yair was the victor of the TUF Latin America tournament and he recently dominated returning legend BJ Penn with a second round TKO. He is known for his flashy kicks and unorthodox style.

UFC 211 is currently headlined by the heavyweight title bout between Stipe Miocic vs Junior Dos Santos, it also features Joanna Jedrzejczyk defending her women’s strawweight title against Jessica Andrade.
