The minor rivalry between Mickey Gall and Sage Northcutt will finally be settled as the fight is now official. The fight will take place at UFC on Fox 22, on December 17th.

The two young prospects have been hitting out at each other on social media ever since Gall called out Northcutt after his submission victory over CM Punk at UFC 203 last month. During his octagon interview, Gall unexpectedly picked out Northcutt for his next fight, claiming he was ‘corny’. His statement was…

“I want ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt, I think that boy’s corny and I want to punch the spikes out of his hair”

Both fighters were discovered on Dana White’s web series, ‘Dana White – Lookin’ For A Fight’ and both are rated as some of the biggest prospects the UFC has to offer.

Sage Northcutt is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Enrique Marin back at UFC 200 in July. Sage holds a 3-1 record in the UFC and an 8-1 record in MMA, remarkably all at the age of just 20 years old.

Mickey Gall, who is coming off back to back wins over Mike Jackson and Phil Brooks (CM Punk), has never been beaten in his MMA career and holds a 3-0 record with 2 of his wins coming whilst contracted to the UFC. Mickey Gall started to make a name for himself at UFC 203 and can now push on to greater heights, and with Sage Northcutt having to move up from Lightweight to Welterweight to take this fight, Gall comes out as the favourite to win.
