The UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping has finally got his super fight with Georges St. Pierre and it’s set to take place at the most iconic arena in the world, Madison Square Garden.

The fight between the two has been on and off several times now. Just last week UFC president, Dana White stated GSP would face the winner of the UFC 214 welterweight title clash between Demian Maia and champion, Tryon Woodley but after being unimpressed with Woodley’s victory, White done a quick U-turn confirming he would “GSP is fighting Michael Bisping. Because I know Bisping will fight.”

Although the fight has not officially been confirmed by the UFC, Michael Bisping confirmed on “UFC Tonight” with Kenny Florian that the fight is now slated for November 4th in New York.  You can see the full video below.

Can GSP become a two division champion? Or will Bisping successfully defend his title?  Comment below and let us know what you think.

UFC 223 is set to be headlined by Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title.

With the news just released that his teammate will be fighting on the card, many believe that Conor McGregor will be ringside throughout the event, including the title match.

Is this just coincidence or do the UFC have something planned for after the main event concludes?

Lobov will be looking to get back into the wins column after losing his last two contests, while Caceres has lost three of his last four and will also be looking to return to winning ways.

UFC 223 takes place inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 7.

Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier set to square off in a heavyweight superfight

The two champions will coach TUF 27 then square off for heavyweight gold

Published

It looks like Dana White has got what he wanted. Daniel Cormier will face Stipe Miocic in a super fight for the UFC heavyweight championship.

The two champions will coach on the next series of the ultimate fighter and then face off for Miocic’s heavyweight crown. Cormier is no stranger to fighting at heavyweight after having 13 victories and no defeats, facing some serious competition during his time as a heavyweight such as Roy Nelson, Frank Mir and Josh Barnett and even winning the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix in 2012 as well as holding the KOTC and XMMA heavyweight championship.

The two will coach TUF 27 which will feature an array of talent as it will feature undefeated featherweight and lightweight prospects with the two coaches squaring off at UFC 226 on July 7th.  UFC 226 could also feature two more champion vs champion bouts as Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes is rumoured to be in the works for international fight week, as well as Demetrious Johnson vs TJ Dillashaw.   These other two bouts may not be confirmed as of yet but rumours are spreading rapidly.  If the UFC does manage to pull this off and get three champion vs champion fights on one card it will surely be the biggest PPV in the companies 25-year history.

Who do you think will take home the gold? Can Cormier dethrone Miocic? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Al Iaquinta vs Paul Felder booked for UFC 223

Published

After his impressive TKO victory over Charles Oliveira, Paul Felder gets his wish of fighting Al Iaquinta.

First reported by FloCombat.com, Iaquinta vs Felder has been in the works for some time, and sources have now confirmed the contest has been booked for April 7th, at the Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

The two Lightweight’s were scheduled to clash at UFC 218, but due to injury, Iaquinta was forced to withdraw.

Before taking a two-year break from the sport, Al Iaquinta was on a four-fight win streak. Although having contract issues with the UFC, he made a successful comeback at UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville, where he earned a spectacular knockout of Diego Sanchez.

Also enjoying the best form of his career is “The Irish Dragon”, who has collected three consecutive stoppage victories over Alex Ricci, Steven Ray, and Charles Oliveira.

So far, the Iaquinta/Felder bout shares the UFC 223 card with the Women’s Strawweight face-off between Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Felice Herrig, and the Lightweight fight between Mairbek Taisumov and Evan Dunham.

Could we see Al Iaquinta extend his win streak to 6-in-a-row, or will we see Paul Felder continue with his recent run of wins and shock the #11 ranked Lightweight?

Ray Borg out of flyweight title fight with Demetrious Johnson

The challenger has withdrawn from his first ever title fight due to illness.

Published

UFC flyweight challenger Ray Borg has withdrawn from his title bout with Demetrious Johnson at UFC 215 this weekend due to illness.  Johnson turned down the opportunity to defend his title against former bantamweight champion, TJ Dillashaw, as Johnson wanted to see Dillashaw fight somebody else in the flyweight division to prove he can make the 125lb weight limit as he has never fought at 125lb before. Johnson then chose to defend his flyweight crown against the number one contender, Ray Borg.

Mighty Mouse was attempting to break Anderson Silva’s record for the most consecutive title defences in UFC history as they are currently tied at 10 defences each but will now have to wait before he can attempt to break the record. The UFC has released a statement claiming Borg “was deemed unfit to compete by the UFC medical team.”

The UFC 215 card this weekend will now be headlined by the women’s bantamweight title bout between the challenger, Valentina Shevchenko and the champion, Amanda Nunes after already being cancelled at UFC 213 after Nunes fell ill and withdrew the day before the fight.

There has been no official word but it is rumoured the UFC are trying to rebook the JohnsonBorg flyweight title fight at UFC 216 in October which will be headlined by the interim lightweight title fight between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee.

Should Mighty Mouse take on a late replacement if the UFC can find him one? Or should he wait and fight Ray Borg at UFC 216? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
