Marc Diakiese impresses at UFC London

The Bonecrusher earned himself a $50k performance bonus after a stunning one punch KO

Marc Diakiese moved to 12-0 in his career this past weekend after a stunning 30 second KO over Teemu Packalen at UFC Fight Night 107 in London.

The American Top Team lightweight has been in impressive form since signing for the UFC and is now 3-0 in the promotion making him one of the hottest prospects in the lightweight division. Diakiese has immense power in his right hand but started the fight with several spin kicks when the two competitors met in the middle of the octagon. It took the former BAMMA lightweight champion just 30 seconds to figure out Packalen’s timing, waiting for Packalen to step forward before unleashing a vicious right-hand landing on his chin perfectly and knocking Packalen out earning Diakiese a massive $50k performance of the night bonus.

“I’ve been saying it all week and I’ll say it again. That was easy work,” Diakiese said in his post fight interview. “I’m one of the best and I will keep proving it. I’m training at one of the best gyms and I just keep proving that I am one of the best out there. I want to be fighting on the main card next.  Diakiese also called for a step up to the main card from his previously contested preliminary card bouts.  “Being on the prelims is no good for me. I want to be fighting bigger names. I’m interested in fighting on the Sweden card in May and then put me on the Glasgow card in July. Whoever is next, I will be ready.”  You can see Diakiese’s stunning knockout below.
