Jon Jones’ mother has passed away
Camille Jones sadly lost her fight to diabetes.
The news broke late last night by Jon’s older brother Arthur Jones, as he confirmed the passing of his mother on his Instagram. Arthur shared a photograph of him with the late Camille saying “Mom, I love you so much! It’s hard to accept the fact that my mother is not with me anymore, she went to be with my sister in heaven. No more pain & suffering”
Upon hearing the news of Jones’ passing, Daniel Cormier, Jon Jones‘ rival, the current Light Heavyweight Champion and the man Jones is due to face in just over a months time, tweeted “In our community, the mother is the backbone, I am sorry for your loss, RIP Camille. Prayers.”

Jon Jones is expected to face off with Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 on July 29th, the two previously met at UFC 182 in January 2015. The matchup will see Jones’ hoping to regain the UFC Light Heavyweight Title, after being forced to vacate it following a bout of legal issues.
It is unknown at this time if the fight will now be postponed due to this unfortunate turn of events.
MMAThread.com would like to send our condolences to the entire Jones family during their time of mourning, and we hope to see a motivated Jon Jones return to action soon.
