Earlier this week rumours where spreading about a MMA super-fight. Between former light-heavy weight champ Jon Jones and former heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar. Although there has been no confirmation that this fight will happen, Jones has welcomed the idea of it.
He recently spoke to fans via Facebook and had this to say: I would love to fight Brock Lesnar,” Jones continued. “He’s a massive dude, it would be a massive draw, really big for the sport. It would be a great challenge. That’s a big old boy. I doubt Brock Lesnar would take that fight, though. I definitely wouldn’t try to wrestle with him the whole time. I can’t tell you what I would do.”
Jones Vs. Cormier.
Before Jones can even get into negotiations about moving up to heavyweight, he first has to beat Daniel Cormier. Jones will face Cormier at UFC 214, Saturday July 29th. If Jones does come up victorious, he may live up to his promise of moving up a weight class. But another obstacle which stands in the way of the fight happening is Lesnar‘s suspension. Brock Lesnar was rumoured to be entering the USADA testing pool, following his suspension for P.E.D’s. It is said though, that promotion executives refused to comment on the matter.
