Jon Jones blasts Alexander Gustafsson on Twitter over “Lack of heart”

Jon Jones Blasts Alexander Gustafsson over “Lack of heart”

With UFC 214 fast approaching, Jon Jones took some time out of his fight preparation to take to Twitter and blast light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson.

Gustafsson who competed on the weekend against Glover Teixeira scored an impressive knockout over the Brazilian in a fight which he dominated from start to finish dropping Glover several times during the process of the fight, but it was not his actions inside the Octagon that caught Jones eye but his remarks about the former champion at the post-fight press conference that caused some problems.

At the press conference, a reporter asked Gustafsson about a small video clip he had done to describe fighters where he called Jones “the biggest enemy of all time.”

He then went on to say:

“I don’t like [Jones], I give him that he’s the best fighter of all time, the best pound-for-pound fighter in our division — of course, everybody knows that. He hasn’t even lost a fight yet, he demolishes everyone he fights. But as a person, as a champion, he’s not a champion, in my eyes. He’s not a good person, in my eyes. That’s why I always tell the guys, ‘I hope that DC wins because I like the guy, he’s a worthy champion. So that’s what I mean when I say that he’s the biggest enemy of all-time.”

Jones obviously took to Twitter to voice his own opinion on Gustafsson and why he is yet to capture gold in the UFC.

It’s safe to say that the bad blood between these two won’t go away anytime soon and with their first fight being a bloodbath and an instant classic the possibility of Jones vs Gustafsson 2 seems more appealing as time goes on.
