Garry Tonon is known world wide as a BJJ phenom, he’s conquered some of the sports best practitioners. As well as winning many championships. Tonon who is a blackbelt under former Bellator fighter, Tom DeBlass.
Early today, news broke that the grappling superstar is set to compete in MMA. Tonon has reportedly signed with Singapore bases One FC. Tonon has signed a multi-contract deal with the promotion, but it is yet to be confirmed when his debut is and who he will be facing.
Tonon has been noted to train with many MMA stars, such as GSP and Jake Shields. This doesn’t mean he’ll be at the calibre of these fighters immediately. Tonon is 26 year old and has a strong grappling back ground, but no one knows as of yet how well rounded his MMA skills are.
Another grappler and Tonon‘s rival is still yet to make his debut for Bellator. That man being Dillon Danis. If both men get of the mark and make an impact in MMA, fans could quite possibly see them throw hands in the future.
