Dutch kickboxing sensation to make promotional debut
The UFC has announced today the signing of Dutch Kickboxing sensation Gokhan Saki (0-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC). With a kickboxing record of 83 wins, 16 losses, with 59 of those wins via knockout “The Turkish Tyson” is looking to make an impact within the promotion’s heavyweight division – The former Glory Kickboxing Champion confirmed the news via his Twitter account this morning saying “I’m glad I finally can announce that I have signed an exclusive long-term contract with the UFC“. An exact date or opponent has yet to be announced, but with the UFC visiting Rotterdam in September it isn’t too hard to suggest that this may be the targeted event for his debut. Saki’s sole MMA fight resulted in a TKO loss to James Zikic at CFC1 way back in 2004.
