Dana White reveals Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s next opponent

A new challenger is looking to take Joanna Jedzrejczyk’s strawweight crown…

After a brilliant performance from Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night 104, the strawweight contender impressed Dana White so much that he has said that she is ‘absolutely’ the next challenger for Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s title.


“When you see the way she fought tonight, just imagine those two squaring off and the absolute war that will be,” White said on the FOX Sports 1 post-fight show. “That’s going to be a fun fight.”

Andrade has been putting on some impressive performances recently at 115lb, beating Jessica Penne, Joanne Calderwood and current Invicta FC strawweight champion Angela Hill. Andrade will want to ride this momentum into her bout against Joanna Jedrzejczyk. There is no doubt a fight of this calibre would be fun and interesting to watch. Dana want’s to see this fight, and so do we.

“In the women’s division, that’s one of the greatest fights you’ll ever see,” White said of AndradeHill. “That fight was incredible. Both girls were getting hit with bombs. Knees, elbows, punches. What a great fight, and that’s absolute ‘Fight of the Night.’ I said after that fight if that’s not ‘Fight of the Night,’ we’re in for one hell of a night.”
