Amanda Ribas pulled from TUF 25 Finale

USADA strikes again…

USADA strikes again, this time flagging Amanda Ribas for a potential violation.

Ribas was due to fight on The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale making her Octagon debut against Juliana Lima, she has now been pulled from the card after failing an out of competition drug test and the UFC is currently looking for a replacement for Lima.

Ribas is currently 6-1 in her MMA career fighting for promotions such as Jungle Fight and Max Fight, she was signed by the UFC early this year, it now looks as though she’ll have to wait a lot longer than expected to make her Octagon debut.

Her opponent Juliana Lima made her UFC debut in 2014, losing to the current strawweight champion Joanna Jedrezejczyk, she rebounded from the loss with wins over Nina Ansaroff and Ericka Almeida before dropping a fight to the former champion Carla Esparza in April 2016.

She redeemed herself however by out pointing J.J. Aldrich at UFC Fight Night 102 in December 2016, she is now without an opponent and the UFC is currently scrambling to find her an appropriate replacement.

The Ulitmate Fighter 25 Finale takes place on July 7th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, fighters featuring on the Fox Sports 1 card include, Michael Johnson, Gray Maynard, and Jessica Eye.

The full announced fight card is as follows:

Teruto Ishihara vs Gray Maynard
